Fermacell plaster fibre background plates, are available in different vertions, also pre-coupled with wood fibre, with mineral wool or with expanded polystyrene.

These plates for dry background, are the ideal solution for many demands:

Fireproof protection;
Acoustic isolation;
Thermal isolation;
Floor heating systems;
Floors' coverings.

Fermacell plaster fibre plates are composed of only two natural components:

Pure plaster (dehydrated calcium sulphate)
Cellulose fibres (derived from recycled paper that is selected and minced)

The productive process foresees the mixture of these two components in water (without other binders); the plaster mixed in water reacts (through calcination) and winds the cellulose fibres penetrating them;by submitting this basic homogeneous mixture to compression, Fermacell plaster fibre plates are obtained in the different wanted thicknesses.

After the cut in the various foreseen sizes and the drying, plates are smoothed and treated with a waterproofing substance on both sides. Thanks to the presence of fibres, our plates have high stability, very good mechanical resistance and very good characteristics of resistance to the fire.

Fermacell background plates have the dimensions of 150 xes 50 cms and they have a weatherboard to favor a rapid laying of them. Download the complete guide for the dry backgrounds.
